The core mission of Chitr is to orchestrate secure data transfers between Backblaze and Google Photos. Once your photos, videos, and albums are successfully transferred into your personal Google Photos library, we do not store, host, or retain any copies of your media files on our servers. Our worker nodes immediately purge all locally processed media from their temporary processing memory.
To provide you with a reliable history, we maintain logs of your completed transfer jobs. This includes the file paths and album names of the folders you uploaded, along with their success status. This metadata is securely stored in our database strictly to power your Transfer History dashboard, but the actual image content is never saved.
We take modern security standards seriously. Chitr does not collect, process, or store any of your credit card details or payment information whatsoever. All billing, invoicing, and storage subscription processing is securely handled end-to-end by our PCI-compliant 3rd-party partner, Stripe.
When you link your Google Photos account, you grant us an isolated OAuth token that allows our backend to safely append photos into the cloud. This token is securely encrypted. We never have access to your primary Google account password or login credentials.
